“amazing knowledgeable tour guide makes all the difference!”

I took days looking over websites and reviews before finally deciding on A Ultimate Airboat. I considered pricing, as well as the size and type of the boat (there were specific things I was looking for : small, stadium seating - not barge style, ear protection availability, no bars blocking visibility), distance from Orlando, and info on the captain. Overall I think I made a great decision. Total driving distance was about an hour (which I thought was far at first) to get to the nature preserve, but looking back on it, it was worth it. I recommend taking either morning or late evening tour so that the heat is more tolerable. More animals are out and about during that time as well. Captain Jim was extremely knowledgeable about the area. He knew it like the very back of his hand - where to find baby gators, nesting birds, gator's nest, etc...he was so skillful at approaching these animals so that we were only a few feet (or even inches) away! And not only that, but he also knew about the wildlife and shared its facts with humor. I took my parents and they both loved the experience as much as I did. I hope that more people get to ride on A-Ultimate's airboat tour and get to appreciate not just the fast and exhilarating ride, but also the beauty around it as Captain Jim showed us.

The highlight of our week in Florida was our boat tour with you. We thought Disney was going to be "everything" to our two grandchildren but they would come back for another tour in a heartbeat. Sure surprised us. We thought this tour would be "our" day and what a neat thing that the kids loved it every bit as much.

Wow, is all I can say about our airboat trip :)
Captain Jim was a brilliant tour guide who knew his stuff!! I recommend doing this to anyone visiting Orlando, we will certainly do it again next time.

We so enjoyed the tour but so sorry that we didn't get to meet you as Charles and his kids loved you!! (our guide was excellent and funny - so no offence to him!!)

 

We got to see a White head eagle, turtle, giant snails, otto and three baby gators - we were just so amazed how smooth the ride was and loved watching the birds flying around us. It was so magical and I personally thought it was a single best activity I've done in Orlando (and it was my 4th visit to Orlando in 6 years).

Thanks for the awesome day - we will be sure to book another tour on our next visit!!

Just wanted to let you know that we went on the Orlando Airboat Tour this past weekend and had an awesome time! It was quite chilly and we probably didn't see as much wildlife but still had fun. We saw several small gators, eagles, sand hill cranes and lots of small water birds. The captain (Jim) was very knowlegeable and had lots of stories to share.

Great experience for the whole family. Capt. Jim & his business partner were very friendly & very gracious. we drove down in heavy rain, when we arrived at our appointed time they suggested to wait 30 minutes to see if it would
clear up. After 30 minutes in was a steady VERY light drizzle & Capt. Jim decided it was safe to go. they had enough ponchos for us & we went out. within 10 minutes the drizzle was gone & it was a perfect early evening excursion. thanks to Capt. Jim & his business partner. A very personalized memorable experience.

We had a fantastic ride with Jim as captain. he was so informative, and took us out to where we thought we were in the twilight zone. What a place! Everyone needs to experience an airboat ride to see what kind of wild life there is. Such beauty all around you. We saw bald eagles, endangered hawks, crocs, and just about the most beautiful flowers you can see. We will remember this for a long time, and hope everyone can experience this trip. Recently we visited Florida for the first time. On April 5,2010 we had the pleasure of having Capt. Ron take us on an airboat tour to see the great wildlife in Florida. What a fantastic time we had! Capt. Ron was very informative about the area and about the birds, alligators, eagles and plant life we were seeing. What a great guy

Well worth the price! We had a great time with Captains Jim and Ron over the 2010 Easter Weekend. Saw 4 gators, a huge turtle, a large snake on the sunning on the lily pads, beautiful birds and waterfowl skimming the water or soaring above the oaks and cypress. I highly recommend this tour for all ages.
